Comprehend Your Environment, Do the Math, and Know Your Limitations
Some energy satire, as a follow-on to my previous post on nuclear and fossil fuels enabling renewable energy.
There’s a void of logic, rationale, and basic physics in the consuming belief that renewable energy’s potential is being held back by traditional energy resources or, more absurdly, that renewables can substitute for nuclear, as we’re seeing with the misguided decision on the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant in California. The willful dismissal of this relationship and the respective magnitudes of the resources are a delusional combination.
Again: The energy issues ahead of us will require more baseload nuclear and more renewables without the baseless and unprovable environmental rhetoric and preaching of “Renewables Only.”
